My kids love to get in the holiday spirit with a sensory bin. On our last trip to the dollar tree, my oldest son and I picked out a few things to make one for Christmas. So, here is our easy to make Christmas sensory bin.
what you need: white tinsel, little presents. jingle bells, plastic candy canes, and gift bows.
What to do: find a box, rubbermaid, bowl, or for us we used the plastic lid off the foil pan I cooked our Thanksgiving turkey in. Add the Christmas sensory items to the container. Last, set it out and let the kids play.
Both my toddler and preschooler enjoyed playing with the sensory bin. They didn't really like the tinsel so I removed it. I thought afterwards that torn tissue paper may have been better. The great thing about sensory play is that you can use a wide variety of things to play in. You make it up as you go. We hope you and your kids may have some sensory fun too.

This is such a great idea! I have so many odds and ends leftover when I wrap presents. They so need to go into a bin.
